Terms and Conditions

 

To secure your reservation, a £150 deposit is required within seven days of your booking. The balance is due 6 weeks before arrival. You can pay by online bank transfer, cheque or Paypal (extra charge).

 

You can arrive any time after 3.00pm and we ask you to leave by 10.00am so that our cleaners can make the place ready for the next guests.

 

All guests are expected to take good care of the property and contents, and ensure that it is left clean and orderly as we intend you to find it. This care is to include all utensils, crockery, equipment and linen. We accept that breakages sometimes happen. In this case, or if you find any broken or malfunctioning item, we would appreciate early reporting of the issue to our caretaker (who lives nearby) so that repairs or replacements can be made in a timely manner.

 

We do not permit smoking inside the cottages.

 

Out of respect for other guests, dog owners are expected to closely supervise their dogs at all times in and around the cottages and also to ensure there is no trace of their dogs after departure, inside or out. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture and must not be left alone in the cottage unless caged (most local pubs are happy for people to bring their dogs inside).

 

We strongly recommend you take out holiday insurance in case you have to cancel. If you do have to cancel, please contact us as soon as possible. If for any reason the cottage is not available or has been rendered unsuitable for the holiday letting on the date booked, your full rental so far paid will be refunded, but there shall be no further claim against the owner. No liability is accepted for any loss, damage, sickness or injury howsoever caused which may be sustained during the holiday to any guest or their possessions.

 

All linen (including towels) is provided; also basic quantities of soap, washing-up liquid, a toilet roll, cleaning materials and a vacuum cleaner.

 

The lane, field and lakeshore areas are shared with the other Cottages as well as with the neighbouring property Sunny Bank Mill. Guests are expected to behave in a quiet and respectful manner at all times, leaving no litter nor provoking any cause for concern. Inside the Cottage, guests should be aware of possible disturbance to others and avoid the playing of loud music, television etc, especially late at night.
